Celebrating Abilities Day
Providing a free day at the fair for more than 40 years!
This year's Celebrating Abilities Day will be held during the 150th Broome County Fair. Event date will be provided soon.

Celebrating Abilities Day (formerly known as Special Kids Day), is a day where the Broome County Fair, along with generous sponsors, provide a free day at the fair for individuals with differing abilities and exceptionalities. Our special guests receive free admission to the fair, a complimentary ride pass, a sweet treat and a drink. Participates of the event are associated with a recognized agency (i.e. Achieve) or school program (i.e. BOCES) dedicated to serving individuals with differing abilities.
The Broome County Fair has been hosting Celebrating Abilities Day for more than 40 years! In recent years, more than 1500 special guests from Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware and Tioga counties, have been able to participate in this wonderful event. The Broome County Fair is the only county fair in the Southern Tier and Central New York to host this type of program. Without our generous sponsors, this program would not be possible.
