Templeton's Temptation

While you are over at the 4H Pavilion admiring the beautiful farm animals showing off their ribbons, you might remember E.B. White’s classic, Charlotte’s Web, which showed all of us that a pig can be “some pig,” “radiant,” and even “humble” as long as a beneficent spider is doing the writing.
While Charlotte’s web-advertisement did a great deal to create a buzz about a fabulous pig that was too “terrific” to be considered food, she had little to say in her web about Templeton the Rat and how he eventually got rid of his big fat belly that swelled from eating carnival fare. We need to remember to keep the Fair clean to help Templeton to avoid temptation.
Clearly, in the interest of helping Templeton to avoid the temptation of overeating, we should all chip in to place garbage, especially used food, in its appropriate receptacles. Remember that “The Fair is a regular smorgasbord” for your belly to enjoy!
