Scraped up and dusted off, they won't fall to rust at the Demolition Derby on Wednesday, July 24th at 6:00! Metal on metal, these cars and trucks will screech in salute of the big crunch - ouch! That's gotta hurt! This event will knock the wind out of you! Don't miss a single collision! These smash-'m up gear-grinders spend long hours making their cars wrecking-ready. Horse Pull

Straining muscles against monstrous weight, the horses will have their hayday on Thursday at 5 and 7pm. These horse powerhouses pull a cinderblock sled through the dust to prove that it was their flesh and bone that built the farms around us.

No doubt you will admire the grace of these beasts of burden as you honor their incredible contribution to our heritage. Their hooves claw the dirt as their muscles pump to the finish line, breaking the clock and testing the boundaries of animal might! For information about the rules of these contests, consult the rules page of this website, or call the Whitney Point Fairgrounds at (607) 692-4149.

.

Pony Pull

They won't pull it if they think they can't do it, but when they do pull, muscles bulge and straps snap taut!

Pure "Ponypower." It takes a well-conditioned pair of ponies, a skilled teamster, and a precise teamwork between man and pony to compete in a pony pull. From here all the way to over there -- no more complaining about taking out the garbage! These pony teams demonstrate their will and ability to each other in a frenzy of strained muscle and hoof. They mean it! For more information consult the rules page of this website, or call the Whitney Point Fairgrounds at (607) 692-4149.
