Grandstand

Stunt Driving
Hot and daring, the adventurous danger-loving Imperial Stunt Drivers are coming to the Broome County Fairgrounds to show off their style and tricks. The longest running stunt show on the road, this fifty-four year-old troupe has been turning the heads and dropping the jaws of grandstand-goers as far east as Maine and as far west as Minnesota. For more information about the team and their daring history, look them up at www.imperialstuntdrivers.com.

Demolition Derby
These cars are built to smash! Scraped up and dusted off, they won't fall to rust at the Demolition Derby. This event will knock the wind out of you! Don't miss a single collision! These smash-'m up gear-grinders spend long hours making their cars wrecking-ready. In moments they'll be smashed to smithereens -- Don't blink! Fun for all ages, this event is a highlight of the fair! For information about the derby call Justin Madden at (607) 727-6562 or Lance Brunick at (607) 759-0917 or the Fair office at (607) 692-4149.

Horse and Pony Pulls
They won't pull it if they think they can't do it, but when they do pull, muscles bulge and straps snap taut!

Pure "horsepower." It takes a well-conditioned pair of horses, a skilled teamster, and a precise teamwork between man and horse to compete in a horse pull. From here all the way to over there -- no more complaining about taking out the garbage! These horse and pony teams demonstrate their will and ability to each other in a frenzy of strained muscle and hoof. They mean it! For more information please contact Doug Smith at (607) 849-3028 or the Whitney Point Fairgrounds at (607) 692-4149.

Rodeo
Broken B Rodeo Company presents The Toughest Sport on Dirt Bullriding and Bronc Riding. The toughest sport on dirt is back! The Broken B Rodeo Company is once again bringing professional bull riding back to the Broome County Fair on Friday, July 25th, at 7:00 pm. They will also feature the wild and dangerous sport of bareback and saddle bronc riding. Bronc Riding is a hard event to master for even the most experienced riders. The difference between the bareback and saddle bronc riding is that the bareback rider uses only leather rigging and the saddle rider uses a lightweight saddle with no horn. Unlike bull riding and bareback, saddle bronc riding relies on timing, finesse, and skill! For more information about the Broken B Rodeo Company visit their website at www.brokenbrodeo.com.
ATV Drags
Bring your ATV to a field of a different kind -- the racing field, where you can test your skill and your machine against the pack! ATV drags eliminate the slow and celebrate the strong. Peel out from beginning to end on this race to place. Don't eat their dust! Make 'em read your tread for directions! Funner than fun, this event brings the fair to its feet! For information call Joe Pendell at (607) 849-4920.

Semi Truck Pull
The Full Pull Production Big Rigs return to pound the hearts of attendees of the Whitney Point Fairgrounds as part of the Lucas Oil Series on Saturday, July 26 at 1 pm and 7:30 pm for another big show. Watch the ground pounding action as 12,000 horsepower trucks and tractors head for the finish line 300 feet down a specially prepared track. These muscle-pulling machines can weigh up to 20,000 and lug up 60,000 pounds to the finish in over 10 seconds flat! A complete set of rules for the street legal semi competition is available at the Whitney Point Fairgrounds office. For more information call Wes & Ann Henninger at (607) 849-4459.

Tractor Pull
Over 290 gentlemen and ladies from the Southern Tier and Pennsylvania collect antique tractors and just love to work them. The annual Tractors-Of-Yesteryear (T.O.Y.S) antique tractor pull competition opens the fair on Tuesday, July 24 at 6:00 p.m.
Come out and see these massive tractors pull their weight!
With a bit of friendly banter among the crowd about which tractor is the best make and model, the antique tractor pull is sure to be fun. For rules contact: Bernie Wade at (607) 862-3840 or the Fair office at 692-4149

Modified and Super-Modified Tractor Pull
The evening line-up on Saturday, July 26 at 7:30 pm features the raw power, "smokin' diesel" super modified tractors with three full-blown engines and aircraft engines to boot! Will it be the "Rotten, Mean, and Nasty," powered by two super charged hemi style engines on a specially built chassis, that pulls with the most power, or some other twin-hemi powered modified machine? Over 15 huge turbo charged machines will also tangle in the "Smoker Series." Fire and Smoke fill the air -- Beware! The smoking monsters have awoken! For information call Blane Madden at (607) 692-3010 or Alan Sweet at (607) 692-3462.
